Biography
Dr. Koubeissi is board-certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Epilepsy. He is an Associate Professor of Neurology and the Director of the Epilepsy Center at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences.Dr. Koubeissi has earned a number of honors, including the 2012 Innovation Award from Case Western Reserve University's School of Engineering for his ground-breaking research on deep brain stimulation for the treatment of intractable epilepsy. He is a member of many medical and scientific societies, and is a Fellow of both the American Neurological Association and the American Academy of Neurology.
