Biography
Dr. Rong Fu Wang as Chief physician, Doctoral supervisor, is the Director and professor of Nuclear Medicine Department of Peking University Health Science Centre and Peking Univerisity First Hospital. He is a physician trained in France & with 6 years of experience in research, academic and clinical practice of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine. He got MD(Nuclear medicine) from Paris V, France in 1992, and Ph.D.(pharmacology) from Toulouse III, France in 1995. As editor in the Textbook of Nuclear Medicine, J Labeled Immuno & Clinic, Chin Cancer Imaging, et al., he is senior most faculty with Peking University in nuclear medicine with about 300 publications, 12 books, 8 Grants, 4 patents, “Honorary Award†from the Society of Nuclear Medicine in the USA in 1994. “Noninvasive Imaging of Human Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase (hTERT) Messenger RNA with 99mTcRadiolabeled Antisense Probes in Malignant Tumor†has received Editors’ Choice Award for one of the three best basic science manuscripts published in The Journal of Nuclear Medicine in 2007. Now he is member of SNM, EANM, Country Principals of China in ASNM, Vice President of Chinese Society of Nucl Med Equipment and Techniques, and Vice President of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging in Beijing.
Research Interest
His special interest is in Nanomolecaular Imaging, Neuroreceptor and neurotransmission imaging, Nuclear Cardiology, Quality control of clinical muclear medicine and labeled compounds and radiopharmaceuticals.
